Export Documentation, Freight & Logistics from Pakistan
Goods rarely sit at a port because of the goods. They sit because a certificate of origin names a different consignee, an invoice value disagrees with the packing list, or an HS code was guessed. Demurrage then turns a paperwork error into a real bill.
Export documentation from Pakistan follows a predictable pattern, and so do the mistakes. Checking the set before the container ships is far cheaper than fixing it after arrival.
We coordinate the documents and the freight together, so the bill of lading, the invoice, the packing list and the certificate of origin all describe the same shipment.
Which documents are normally needed to import from Pakistan?
Typically a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and a certificate of origin, plus product-specific certificates such as phytosanitary or fumigation for food and agricultural goods. Your own customs authority sets the final list.
What is the difference between FOB and CIF for me?
On FOB you take over at the Pakistani port and arrange the sea freight and insurance yourself. On CIF the supplier arranges both and the cost is built into the price. FOB gives more control; CIF is simpler for a first shipment.
Which port will my goods ship from?
Most sea freight leaves from Karachi Port or Port Qasim. Air freight goes from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or Sialkot, with Sialkot being convenient for that cluster's exporters.
Who is responsible for getting the HS code right?
You are, at your own border — the importer of record carries the liability. We review the classification the supplier has used, but confirm it with your own customs broker.
Can shipments from several factories be consolidated?
Yes. Goods from different clusters can be consolidated before loading, which usually beats several separate LCL shipments on cost.
What causes most delays at destination?
Inconsistencies inside the document set — the invoice, packing list and bill of lading not matching each other. Checking them before the vessel sails avoids almost all of it.
